The Andhra Pradesh Auxiliary came into existence in 1951 to take care of the Scripture needs of Telugu speaking people. The Telugu Bible has been now in usage for over 150 years. For the last five decades AP Auxiliary has been serving the Churches of all denominations by providing more than 50 varieties of Telugu Bibles and contributing to the growth of the Church. The Digital version of the BSI Telugu Bible has been uploaded to YouVersion app in partnership with Life Church and Digital Bible Library. The Telugu Audio Bible has been recorded and is to be released soon.
We have 75 plus Branches well connected with all the churches in 13 districts of newly formed Andhra Pradesh. The Officers of Branches are faithfully carrying out activities of Bible Society by organizing Bible Sundays in Churches, conducting Bible Exams, free distribution of complete Bibles to the victims of natural calamities, prisoners, slum dwellers, HIV/ AIDS victims, widows and braille Bibles to visually impaired. We are grateful to the Lord for our Branch Officers who render sacrificial and voluntary services by approaching Churches, para-church organizations and individuals and raise contributions every year for the cause of the Bible.

Andhra Pradesh Auxiliary has constituted the first Mary Jones Club in India at Guntur in 2004, which was observed as the Bicentenary Birth Anniversary Year of Mary Jones. Now there are 49 Mary Jones Clubs which are actively involving in the ministry of BSI through our Branches. The BFBS has took initiative to establish Mary Jones World Fellowship with 17 Bible Societies, including BSI as founding members on 5th October, 2014 at Bala, North Wales.
We urge all the Bible lovers to take an active role in promoting the ministry of BSI in your jurisdiction so that every person in our country receive in his or her mother tongue a copy of the Bible which is profitable unto salvation. Your active participation makes it possible to provide God’s Word to those who do not yet have it. You can:
1. Pray regularly for the work of the BSI
2. Distribute Bibles to others
3. Support this mission through your prayer, involvement and financial contributions
4. Observe the Bible Sunday in your Church’s worship service reminding your congregation the role of God’s word in their lives and the work of the Bible Society of India.
In Andhra Pradesh Bible Society we are constantly searching for new ways to share Bible message in Telugu language. Projects, events and other services are open for groups and individuals helping them to read the Bible regularly.
